I look forward to sharing with you all of the excitement and impressions I form during my trip. I have a strong interest in seeing with my own eyes evidence of China's economic engine---and will be looking for signs of economic progress as well as obvious impediments to growth. I may be posting as many pictures of infrastructure scenes, such as construction cranes and the transportation system, as I will of the more touristy Great Wall and Tiananmen Square.

I am a novice at sharing electronically like this, so please forgive and bear with me if there are technical glitches. I look forward to sharing with you in person upon my return.
